It’s that time of year again, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Cinnamon spice, chilly evenings, stunning fallen leaves, and the deep, dark colors of fall. With Thanksgiving approaching, we figure you’re looking into outfit ideas (on the cheap), and we’ve got some ideas for you. Instead of buying a whole new outfit, you may want to consider just one dramatic or unique accessory that will take your look up several notches with minimal effort. Here are some of the season’s top trends that may fit the bill:
Faux Fur.
A cozy faux fur vest makes a bold statement and keeps you safe from the season’s chill. Luxurious and modern, fur makes an excellent statement for Thanksgiving and will undoubtedly come in handy throughout the entire holiday season as well.
Blanket Scarves.
Kind of underrated, blanket scarves come in a wide range of colors and shapes, making them extremely versatile. There are so many interesting ways to wear them, and they really make an outfit stand out. For Thanksgiving, look for something with a bold plaid pattern or rich fall colors like maroon, hunter green or mustard yellow.
Lace.
A touch of lace can go a long way for an outfit. A lace or lace cut-out top or dress combines romance and subtlety for the perfect event ensemble. Black or white are both safe bets and pair well with a wide range of jewelry, shoes and makeup.
Pearls.
Nothing says sophistication and grace like a beautiful set of pearls. Keep your outfit simple and dress it up with some earrings or a strand of pearls to really celebrate the Thanksgiving festivities in style. Add some red lipstick and a messy updo to really get it right.
What are your favorite fall styles? Do you plan to wear them for Thanksgiving this year?
Until next time,
