It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means! Wedding time! Now that wedding season is in full bloom, it’s so satisfying to see all of our favorite trends playing out in real life. There’s one trend though, that we were late fans of — what am I talking about? White and cream bridesmaid dresses. It used to be so unacceptable for someone to show up in a wedding in white, and now brides were choosing to dress their bridesmaids in their bridal colors? That being said, once we saw how this wedding trend played out, we couldn’t help but fall in love.
Our favorite part? White and cream look awesome with pearls. Check out our bridal sets to get matching jewelry for everyone in your bridal shower, and something a little extra for yourself!
Here are some celebrity weddings that rocked this trend:
1. The royal wedding: This list would be totally incomplete if we didn’t include the royal wedding party on it. Kate Middleton may have invented the trend of dressing your bridal party in white, and her sister Pippa looked quite stunning as her MOH.
2. Kim Kardashian: Okay, so her marriage may have lasted only 90 days. So we won’t take marriage advice from her. Fashion advice, on the other hand…Kim and her family stunned, all in white, at her infamous wedding.
3. Tamera Mowry-Housley: Was anyone else addicted to her reality show? Anyway, her wedding was Napa-valley perfect, including her bridal shower’s cream ensemble. Mowry-Housley dressed all of her bridesmaid in the same color, but allowed them to choose the shape that best flattered their figure.
4. Jennifer Lawrence: Don’t worry, you didn’t miss the big announcement! JLaw is only 23 years old, and she’s definitely not married yet. But she did fulfill her duties as a bridesmaid last fall, when her brother tied the knot. Lawrence and the rest of the bridal party looked gorgeous in ivory bridesmaid dresses. This wedding was so flawless, Martha Stewart featured it on this weeks cover of Martha Stewart Weddings.
Well, what do you think? Would you let your bridesmaids wear white at your wedding? Let us know in the comments!
