It’s wedding season, and nothing is more stunning than a bride on her wedding day. That can put a loooot of pressure on a girl though. Luckily, brides-to-be have plenty of opportunities to practice before the big day! One such opportunity is the engagement party. Whether it’s a springy, outdoor event or a formal dinner, the perfect outfit is a must-have! Here are a few style ideas to help you prepare for this exciting occasion.
- Classic Neutrals
This style is classic and understated. Choose a dress or blouse in a neutral color like pink, champagne or beige, and pair it with a pearl necklace, elegant heels and a messy updo. Keep your nailpolish natural, and don’t overdo your makeup. Play up your eyes with a good brow liner and masacara, and choose either smokey eyeshadow or red lips to complete your look.
- Glamorous Glitter
Don’t be afraid to shine, this is totally your party! To amp up the drama, go for a dress with sequins or beading. These are better for a nighttime event, of course, and look great with red lips and awesome heels. Pair these with jewelry that will add to the look but not pull focus, like bangles or a chunky bracelet, and some hoop earrings.
- Romantic Elegance
If you love drama, but glitz is not really your thing, you can go for a more romantic look. Consider wearing something long, or look for dresses with floral patterns, lace or embroidery. You may choose to wear long, elegant earrings or pearls, and a necklace to match. You don’t have to wear heels; ballet flats are totally cute, too!
- Unique and Edgy
Why all the daintiness? If you prefer black to pink, you can incorporate your unique style into a party outfit, too! Consider layering: wear a chiq leather jacket over your dress to bring on the edge, or add a chunky belt or booties to keep everything more casual. Wear your hair down for a more relaxed look, or pull it back if you want to look more formal.
What’s your favorite party style?
Until next time,
