We can’t believe it’s almost August! And while we are seriously LOVING the sunshine and warm weather, we can’t wait for Fall 2014 fashion trends to start popping up on the streets of our favorite cities. Do you know what to expect as far as fashion trends for this season? Here are some of our favorite styles to look out for:
1. The Midi: While the miniskirt certainly plays a huge role in this fall’s fashions, the midi skirt is the star of the show. The perfect transition piece from summer to winter, you can style your midi with a crop top for a fun, retro look, or a conservative sweater with boots. Either way, you’re sure to be styling.
How to wear it:
2. Leopard Prints: We all know that leopard print is considered a fashion neutral, and this season, it’s styled in a romantic and feminine way, with classic silhouettes and ladylike accents. Whether it’s an a-line skirt or your go-to cardigan, leopard print is a great way to add some vibrancy to your neutral wardrobe.
How to wear it:
3. Capes: Another amazing transition piece, a cape is warmer than a sweater but not as bulky as this season’s jackets, which look more like blankets than tailored pieces. Whether you wear it over a dress for an evening affair or pair it with jeans and a tank top for a weekend look, you will fall in love with this piece this season.
How to wear it:
4. Plaid: Another surprising neutral, plaid is all over the runways this fall. In every shade, style, and dimension, there is a plaid piece out there for everyone, from jackets to skirts to dresses. Show off this classic fall staple in style.
How to wear it:
5. Retro-Rad: The ’60’s were an iconic time for fashion, and many retro designs are popping up in full color-block style all over fashion magazines this fall. Replicate this look by wearing a go-go worthy dress with high-fashion shoes over fishtank boots for an updated version of a ’60’s classic.

Now that you’ve got ton’s of ideas about how to “Fall Forward,” you’re sure to look fashionable and fabulous this autumn.
Until next time,
