In our last post, we covered an up-and-coming clothing line which focuses on modern-day modesty. We love the idea, and think there are so many ways to incorporate classy, stylish, modest dress into our wardrobes. Here are just a few looks that we’ve come up with:
Maxi Dresses
Maxi dresses come in all shapes, styles and colors. They are flattering and stylish without being too revealing, and are certainly trendy. They are also super versatile, and can be worn alone or with layers. Pair yours with a hi-low sweater, some ballet flats, earrings and a great bag, and you’ll get the perfect combo of cozy and diva.
Maxi Skirts
Like dresses, these floor-length skirts are feminine and graceful. High-waisted, low-waisted, maxi skirts can be paired with baggy knit sweaters, sheer blouses or plain black t-shirts, depending on the season and your mood.
Boat-Necks
Elegant and sophisticated, the boat neckline hides more skin than it shows, but reveals a whole other side of the wearer. Subtly showing off the collar bones, neck and shoulders, this neckline looks amazing on most body types. Try a sheath dress with a wide boat neckline for some serious-yet-refined drama. Pair it with pearls to complete the look.
Knee-Length Dresses
These come in soooo many styles, and we especially love knee-length sheath dresses. Ultra professional, classic and flattering, it’s hard to go wrong with this chic option. Make sure to add your best pumps and a glamorous shawl to really stand out.
Knee length A-line dresses are a funner, flirtier option that works just as well. Go for something colorful and feminine to capture the essence of this look.
Midi Skirts
*Sigh* We looove these pleated tea-length beauties. So elegant and feminine, they channel a more romantic era. To do it right, wear these with a tight solid top or a tucked-in blouse, neutral heels, and excellent makeup.
What are your favorite modest looks? Would you try any of these?
Until next time,
P&C
