It’s one of our favorite times of the year – Mercedez Benz Fashion Week. Now that the dust has settled, let’s recap some of our favorite trends that were strutting down this season’s runway.
1. Bare faces: From classics like Diane Von Furstenberg to fashion newcomers like Victoria Beckham, faces were young, fresh, and clean on this year’s fashion week runways. Of course, bare doesn’t always mean naked. Want to get a fresh, clean look? Here are some products that can show off your natural glow.
2. Statement Jewelry: With cozy sweaters and turtlenecks all over the runways this fall, it’s refreshing to see a new take on how to accessorize this autumn favorite. Our favorite way? Add a chunky necklace on the outside of your turtleneck to add a youthful touch to this otherwise librarian classic.
3. Fun accessories: From belts to bags to bangles, there was no shortage in the accessory department during this season’s fashion week. From gorgeous bags by Bulgari to belts on every designers catwalk, we learned one thing for sure: You’re never fully dressed without accessories (and a smile!). Our favorite way to incorporate a go-to piece? Belt a regular top to add a little flair (and flattery) to look even more put together than you already are.
4. Global influences: Whether you’re a globe-trotter or a blog stalker with a whole lot of wanderlust, the runways of fashion week looked like they came out of the pages of glossy travel magazines. The best part? Accessible and affordable designer labels like JCrew and Theory make these looks totally doable for any woman’s budget.
5: Black and White and Reds all over: We’re used to seeing the kodachrome color palate on high end designer catwalks, but this season, blues and reds of all shades shared some of the spotlight. We love color at Pearl & Clasp, especially if we get to incorporate it all year round. Here are some of our favorite pieces in full color.
